V-ONE SOCIETY was started in 1972 by a few leading citizens of Vadodara who felt the need for an organization which could help the increasing number of physically handicapped persons in Vadodara. It has completed more than three decades of dedicated work by its Governing Council members and staff, helping thousands of disabled persons in various ways in Vadodara and villages around.
Resolution at UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, 2006 :
“……… the need for persons with disabilities to be guaranteed their full enjoyment without discrimination.”
V-One stands for “We are One” with the Disabled to help them become useful citizens and be part of the mainstream Society

V-One received Godfrey Philips Bravery Award,
Silver Medal in the category for
Social Acts of Courage in January, 2008.
